Turn off ports when idle
When a computer or network device is turned off, the corresponding ports on a traditional switch will continue to consume a significant amount of power. The TL-SG1024DE can automatically detect the connection status of each port and reduce power consumption on inactive ports.
Power budget based on cable length
Ideally, shorter cables would consume less power with less power degradation over their length; however, this is not the case for most devices, as they will consume the same amount of power over a cable regardless of whether it is 10 or 50 meters long. The TL-SG1024DE analyzes the length of the connected Ethernet cable and adjusts its power consumption accordingly, rather than maintaining the power consumption of a typical solution.

The TL-SG1024DE is easy to use and manage. Automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover on all ports eliminates the need for crossover cables or port-up ports.
